You have not experienced Car Talk until you have heard it in the original Klingon!
No.
Next caller…
Knew it before clicking it.
Best part was how they remembered the dude’s goddamn car from when they used to work on it, 20 years prior.
Damn I might start listening to the entire youtube channel. Should I?

I still listen to it all the time via podcast. Grew up on that show, still laugh my ass off.
I just wish the podcast version wasn’t cut down. They cut out a couple calls and the interstitial music.
Oh yea, you are right. I completely forgot about the random short car songs they used to have. Some were funny and or good but I think I can definitely do without.
So edgy
or it’s a community full of dragons…
Cars suck. Car talk decidedly does not suck.
The only appropriate way to respond to this is a link to dragonsfuckingcars… but that I believe would still require a reddit link.
If you want to yiff some tailpipe, you can always make the community.
Oh, look it’s the bearded racist man!
Oh great not another racist white dude. I just picked a gif that said what I was trying to say, not one that was specific
If you pick one at random, I’d say it’s about 50/50 of finding a racist.
Someone should compile a list of meme images that we don’t need to use anymore. Add that “change my mind” one to the pile.
That’s why I normally only use Star Trek/Lower Decks gifs (or any other one I recognize) but I decided to risk it (unsuccessfully)
We need a Star Trek x Top Gear x Car Talk mashup
Tonight on Bottom Gear
Lt Shraxs ejects a warp core
Spock mind melds with a 89 Dodge Dart
And I fly the Delta Flyer Warp 10!
I miss Car Talk when I hear the guys randomly, most recently on eBay auto commercials.
Unfortunately, you’re only hearing one of them.
Tom died in 2014 of Alzheimer’s, 2 years after they retired from the show.
I guess he really did have trouble remembering last week’s puzzler.
Well, I had a drink.
It’s okay. It’s an actual quote from Ray:
In a statement announcing his brother’s death, brother Ray alluded to a familiar joke about the weekly puzzlers they always featured in the show.
“Turns out he wasn’t kidding. He really couldn’t remember last week’s puzzler,” Ray said. “We can be happy that he lived the life he wanted to live; goofing off a lot, talking to you guys every week and primarily laughing his ass off.”

NPR releases three episodes a week in their podcast. They’re only in like 1993 right now so it’ll be a while before they catch up.
I think the just crossed into 95. It’s a little difficult to track where they are.
I don’t know the context here, but my college roommate used to listen to Car Talk and I hated it. He hated when I watched Star Trek though, so we both just sucked it up and dealt with it like adults.
just sucked it up and dealt with it like adults.
You did a Klingon-style showdown, right? right!?
