West Virginia State Police has been hit by a slew of lawsuits and allegations after a whistleblower sent an anonymous five-page letter to multiple state lawmakers.

The police department has been accused of covering up alleged hidden cameras in the women’s locker room, a theft from a casino and allegations of a trooper drugging, kidnaping and raping two women.

A letter was delivered to Governor Jim Justice and Attorney General Patrick Morrisey in February, who then launched a full-scale investigation. Justice said: ‘The more we dug, the worse it stunk.’

Several claims were made, including the misuse of state and federal dollars, office affairs, illegal overtime practices, drunken fights, hidden cameras and sexual assault.
