The work is probably already done for all three, I don’t see the point of tossing said work for two of them out the window. Just wasted man hours. Or… whatever unit their scrum board uses, idfk. It’s a fucking waste.
Given how half-assed the new mobs always feel, I really think they don’t do much more than modeling work until the vote is done, then just rush the rest of the work in
I don’t think microsoft is dumb enough to kill community made content on a game that would not exist right now without community made content. Yet again, microsoft.
None of the mobs are finished, only partially implemented. The mob vote helps mojang filter out which to add, if we didn’t have it we’d still only get one mob just not the one the community chose.
Seriously, it’s okay to feel slighted when you’re given a choice between three mobs and the worst one wins. Imagine if Mojang had just added glow squids and allays, instead of having people root for two other options just to let a slight majority (53% and 54% respectively) decide. People might actually like those mobs.
So its not allowed to have real criticisms? Like those people can have fun while criticising mojang…
Yeah, this is dumb. Minecraft is fun and they should definitely add all 3 mobs

I think you might have responded to the wrong comment

If this were true, we’d have any of the “losing” mobs a year or two later, which is sadly not the case
My guess is they’re saving them for later in case they need to win players over again
