Mine is probably Mechanist because it is the most fun i can have as a healer. Druid is close on second place.
Mirage, my swiss army knife open world build has still the best QoL.
Holosmith, a class that manifests holographic light weapons is the hottest (heh) class I’ve ever played in an RPG. And the visual effects are just chefs kiss.
Pistol/pistol condi flaming mech, feels like I do stupid amounts of damage and no real problem surviving by just dodging intelligently. Then I go to wvw and get shat on.
Quick heal untamed lets me fart on and double flashbang people every 15 seconds. This is peak GW2.
I really like virtuoso. The animations of shooting daggers feel very good, it is very flexible with quite a few defensive / sustain options, can swap utility slots for… utility… The rotation isn’t set in stone, etc. Chrono has also been very fun recently with the continuum split shenanigans as well.
Druid for me - love the amount of utility and feels fluid to play. Soulbeast is a close second
Always scourge. Times like right now are a joy, though undoubtedly (and deservedly) short-lived.
I could, and have, write multiple essays about why I think willbender is a triumph of design and a blast to play in every mode and I will never shut up about it
I really liked Untamed before they gutted it.
- All Necromancer Specs: Reaper, Scourge, Harbinger
- Most Guardian Sepcs: Dragonhunter, Firebrand
- Soulbeast
- Most Engineer Specs: Scrapper, Mechanist
- Most Revenant Specs: Renegade, Vindicator
- Most other Specs
But I’m not quite done, making up my mind, after the Weaponmaster Changes, since how a spec plays/feels often depends a lot on which weapons it uses and hence which stat sets are valid.
E. g. I like Greatsword and Longbow on Guardian which more or less determines the stat set (power damage) and a general play style (offesnsive, bursty, high risk+reward). I’m currently running this as Dragonhunter, but maybe it works even better or is even more fun as Willbender.
Other professions, e. g. Necromancer, are mostly defined via their class mechanic which changes dramatically with the chosen Elite, i. e. the weapons don’t matter much when you spend most of your time in Shroud anyway.
Daredevil, so I have an extra dodge 😁
