I highly doubt Musk has played any of the Deus Ex games. I also don’t buy that he actually thinks he is JC Denton, this is just a PR move so to speak.
It’s kind of pathetic how he is so desperate to write himself in the cultural zeitgeist.
As much as I don’t like Elon Musk I don’t really feel this belongs in CRPG. Feels more like complaining about the guy in general, only related because it spawned from him saying he likes Deus Ex, than anything genre fans would care about, but I am also aware I come in here with my own biases, particularly the desire to not engage with politics on Lemmy.
I was on the edge about posting this.
I also avoid politics in the gaming communities that I hang out in. For me, gaming is about relaxing and tuning out.
