The centrists would rather bash the left than resist fascists.
If you want change, there’s no reason to assume the Dems will be your allies. Organize outside the legacy parties. When there are facts on the ground, the Democrats will reluctantly shift their positions to pretend they had something to do with the change. That’s what happened with the Civil Rights movement, the resistance to the war in Vietnam, Occupy, and every other grassroots effort.
