I’m curious as to why you’d want to? The audio quality is pretty atrocious due to the compression they use, and—last time I tried, anyway—all their channels are full of obnoxious interruptions for self-promotion.
I don’t listen to the music stations, I like some of the talk radio channels it offers.
And that doesn’t address the content it offers.
Lately its been so bad I’ve been thinking about not even pirating it anymore, TBH. Might let it expire.
In the past you could get 3 month trials for the streaming service by “stealing” VIN numbers from used cars on autotrader, not sure if that still works.
This is a good idea. I’ll try it out and see how it goes.
The SXM activator is still updated, also the official website lets you reactivate the trial every 6 months, I believe.
Not sure if this still works but get the Sirius XM dealer app and reset using your vehicles vin when at/near a dealer lot, or just spoof your gps location.
Find out if your neighbor has it and listen through their windows
I miss the old days of “neighour-net”, when everyone around me had wifi and no one had set up a password.
Seriously, do an internet search for Sirius coupons. I cancel every year and then renew for 5 bucks per month. If you know someone with an account, you could ask them to share their creds and you can use the app. Only one listener at a time is allowed on the app. My gf has the app and I use the radio, same account.
We cancelled this year (for Canadian reasons) and they keep sending us snail mail offers (in the CAD$6/month range). It’s amazing how much money they’ll spend to try to get you back.
