She has like a 36.7% WR going for her I think rn? My impression is that she is trying to do warwick but is too squishy to do warwick, which makes her very easily duelable in the jungle with a lethality build and a healstopper (I play Poppy)
I think it’s too soon to tell? Maybe people need some time to figure out how to play her effectively? I can see her being really broken given the right buffs.
Probably. I suspect she isn’t a fight starter/pickoff like how I see her being played rn.
Phreak mentioned he expected her to be among the top 3 worst initial winrate releases. She needs to go in, but is also squishy and can’t dodge cc while self-taunting. The self-taunt makes it very easy to feed, and having no regen means she also gets punished easily for not going in. But she can win a lot of duels if not behind. Maybe they’ll need to buff her after all, but they did expect her to be hard to pick up at least.
Ye she was just buffed on an emergency patch.
I think she’s bad for a lot of the same reasons that Troll Warlord was the worst hero in Dota for a long time - your spells force you to int and remove control of your hero in crucial moments. At least Troll’s inting ult also has the tryndamere death-stalling effect - Briar just taunts herself and dies.
This is a solid take for players who haven’t played dota. I didn’t make the connection but she’s so much like troll that it’s crazy. That said, she seems to have a better time in top lane than jungle depending on matchups. She embarrasses most ranged top laners too.
I think she’s basically melee Twitch. She’s awful early but snowballs like a monster if left unchecked. She has some really bad matchups and can be deceivingly difficult to play depending on team comps. She is a melee hypercarry in the same vein as say tryndamere but easier to shut down early.
