Slightly adjacent topic, what’s the practical applications of getting a USB3.1 Type C to Type C cable?
I want to see if 3.1 is worth the extra money.

If your phone supports 3.1, you’ll get faster transfer speeds over USB. That’s it. If your phone still uses USB 2.0 (which most still do, to my knowledge), there is no benefit to a 3.1 cable.
3.1 versus what alternative? 2.0?
Also what is the price difference for you?
The speed difference might be more useful for external storage devices like NVME enclosures.
So if I don’t have these NVME enclosures, or something similar I should just get the USB2.0, gotcha.
