Most independent landlords are renting out old, half decrepit houses they bought on auction and “refurbished” (poorly, with substandard materials and usually by themselves, not using skilled contractors), and many landlord companies are owned by non-native entities that siphon money from our economy to their own countries while jacking up rents and keeping the working class as poor as possible.
