Is it worth watching? It seems pretty cyberpunk and has a message more about propaganda. Maybe it is just a matrix rip off?

The matrix is a dark city rip off.
But despite similarities in the plot, they are tonally very different.
But is dark city with a watch? Wait, it’s older??
Yes, the Alex Proyas film is about a year older.
I remember seeing both in theaters back then, but Dark City flew mostly under the radar for most people.
