I don’t know how else to describe it. I’ll start vaping, there’s like 20-30 minutes of comeup, 5-30 minutes of euphoria, then everything just feels dull? like hazy and blah. If I vape less, there’s less of the ‘blah’ feeling, but then reality feels harsh and stark.

i get the same thing with edibles generally, 1h comeup, 30-60 minutes of bliss, then 2-3 hrs of gray

anyone experience this; any help?

Unpopular opinion here but if you are using cannabis regularly it isn’t supposed to get you high. Yes you might need lifted for a bit but it’s really not an extreme “I’m high” experience. If you are using it medicinally, that’s what you want. The ability to use it and get on with you day (or go to sleep, I’m my case).

Chasing a high is going to lead to disappointment. You’ll develop a tolerance and keep using more and this will cause the negative effects people worry about instead of making your life better.

If you had one beer every night with dinner, the first beer you’ve ever had in your life would be magical, the edges of the world round off, your friends are funnier, you spouse is extra alluring. But have one beer with dinner every night for a week or two and it’s just a beer. You have a mild, mild buzz.

Cannabis is just like that. I mean it’s better than beer because it helps with real issues like inflammation, possibly anxiety, etc.

Edit: forgot to say if you want to get high, just use it once a week or so. If you need to use to daily, do so, but when you want to get high have more, but occasionally. You can also stick with a less potent strain day to day or mix in CBD flower with it .

Seconded, I use throughout the day for symptom management from a long-term injury, and I only know it still works because my symptoms go away. To get a high, I have to bong rip such an egregious amount that my throat feels raw. Unfortunately, edibles don’t work on me.

I’m convinced edibles don’t work, period, and everyone who says they do is a liar. I’ve had a dozen or so all from different sources and never once did I notice any effect, always taking more then the recommended amount, if not several multiples more than recommended.

You are missing a liver enzyme that turns THC into 11-Hydroxy-THC, and that is why you feel nothing. More and more people like this are popping up in social media.

I suspect it has to do with metabolism, we just break it down too fast or something. I also process alcohol pretty quickly for likely the same reason.

Only way I know for certain edibles work for anyone is when a chef friend and I made some potent ganja butter and then brownies. She was so high it was messing with her speech, and I was essentially still the designated driver until smoking some the usual way.

It was mostly a joke, but I really can’t seem to find any that work for me like any other method of taking in THC does. Tried tons of gummies and many different pastry types.

No, I’m not even aware of cannabis seltzer drinks. I would try it for science, but nothing ingestible has ever worked for me, including tinctures, etc.

I’d be curious. Apparently the way the cannabinoids are extracted is different from normal edibles. The drink effects only take 15 minutes or so consistently vs edibles.

Well, if I find any here, I’ll certainly give it a shot. Being restricted to smoking only is a pain in the ass sometimes when I need to dose then deal with people or go on a long flight. Can’t even use more moderate smelling vape solutions because resins and distillates both tear up my lungs for some reason. Like I’m inhaling sandpaper.

Tolerance. Take 3 days to not smoke, which I personally think is extremely difficult, so I understand it’s a tall order, but after that you’ll get blasted.

This was forced on me recently. Had to go to another country for work. Had to leave the vape at home. It was a rough 8 days, but it fully reset my tolerance

What makes stopping (temporarily) difficult for you? I find that when I’m home and have easy access I smoke almost out of habit. But when I’m holiday or just busy with stuff I have no problem at all not smoking.

Addiction. A lot of people say, or think, or pretend cannabis isn’t addictive, but for many people it can be addictive as fuck.

It isn’t physically addictive, but it can be mentally so. Your body isn’t going to start eating itself if you don’t get it, but you will probably feel anxious and maybe feel cravings if you break the habit though.

On a trip to Singapore and surprisingly not having as much issue as I thought based on my normal consumption. Gonna be fun to see how it goes when I get back.

I’m pretty sure if you consume it every day it’s also physically addictive, speaking from experience. I used to smoke daily for a while, every evening, and if I didn’t smoke it took me like 1h+ to fall asleep, got some cold sweat as well… not super bad, but something I’d like to avoid, so I only do it weekends now.

Honestly, it was just the first day. And a good deal of that was likely jet lag. I was fine after the first full day.

Take a tolerance break? Try a difference method of consumption? Sacrifice to Shel-Moloth, Dark Crab of the Ocean? You got me I don’t really know I’ve been reading too much lovecraft.

It sounds like you have access to different strains, so try mixing them up.

I have a lower THC sativa for mornings, which gets me thru the day. I have a hybrid for around 5pm, which is like having a few beers after work. Then I have a strong indica for bedtime.

I’ve been on prescription opiates for years for a bunch of conditions, and while I do get a buzz from it, it’s not what I’m chasing and it settles quickly.

Also, worth considering how you smoke it. I vape in the morning and in the evening, and then a pipe before bed. Each hits differently, and works well for me. Might work for you too.
