          more people die falling down stairs & hitting their head, than riding a bicycle & hitting their head. A helmet should only be necessary if you’re going very fast (road bike, fast e-bike) or off-road (mountainbike). If felt needed by the majority of cyclists in regular urban situation: how the urban environment was built, sucks.

        sure, keep on wearing your helmet, but don’t let it obscure you from fighting the real problem: badly designed streets making cycling unsafe.

        If you can spare a few hours every week getting involved in a great use of your time. Not just for safer infrastructure. Hold your town accountable in other things.

        Most people only care after things happen. People should show up when things are being decided on.

        No, I expect them to at least go yo the ballot and vote for people who are pro cycling, for example.
