Forces the House to all go on record for/against it. I think Trump and the GOP have pissed off enough of their own base to hurt them in mid-terms. I hope so, at least.
Takes time off their “do all the evil” clock. If they have to go through the motions to vote on stuff like this, it’s less time they have to do damage elsewhere.
Will it succeed? Almost certainly not But it’s not a useless thing, either.
