Yes, I agree completely. I’m really looking forward to Lemmy implementing instance blocking for users, as opposed to that just being a feature of certain apps or browser extensions; and I also look forward to the further development of Liftoff for Lemmy or other Lemmur forks, which lets users combine feeds from multiple instances in order to sort of “evade” defederation. I think that the real strength of Lemmy and the entire fediverse is the amount of power it gives average users over their own social media consumption, and this absolutely should include the ability to both opt out or opt in to seeing content like Hexbear.
Regarding the interrobang — I actually type it using the Google Japanese IME on my laptop! It has a custom dictionary feature, so I’ve bound “Int” to suggest “‽”.
