Yesterday the handle to the freezer door broke off in my hand as I was openning it.

I’ve had it for 10 years so it did laat a while.

I was able to find and order the part online from a local vendor and to my surprise it arrived this afternoon (ordered last night around 19:00).

I looked up the instructions and almost laughed at how simple it is. Installed in less than a minute.

Very satisfying!

Oh wow, I’ve been working with a broken freezer handle since I moved and just painfully deal with it for now 🤡

Love ordering parts and then actually being able to fix things. Last year the electric kettle wouldn’t stay on, switch would just flip back to “off”. Had to order a new bimetal switch from Taiwan but it was a real easy install, just 3 screws. I feel good about myself every time I turn it on haha.

    Welcome to the club brother.

I’m impressed the part was available, anywhere (and then for a reasonable price!). That can be a real challenge with appliances

Its the entire door and it was actually available widely for lots of unreasonable prices. I think it is a common part used in multiple units.

Luckily I found a local discout seller with a good price and stock on hand.

    Great work!

I’ve been able to easily repair a gas furnace, dishwasher, and laundry machine by watching videos to help diagnose the problem and then ordering a part. Easily saved myself over a thousand. Feels good.
