Global fisheries are headed for general global collapse in 10-15 years, tops.

When that happens, our lives are over as we know it, and that is a gentle way of putting it.

Meanwhile techbros are still totally focused on how scary AI is, which is frankly a joke distraction in comparison (except for the catastrophic energy use AI demands to work even somewhat as well as previous solutions).

Spend time with your loved ones and family with the small amount of quality time we have left, and fight like hell. It is now or never.

I think what centrists are refusing to come to terms with right now is that climate change is accelerating now, carbon sinks like forests have hit a tipping point where they are carbon sources accelerating climate change as they burn down.

This isn’t “we need to come together and fight climate change!” anymore, we are going to witness helpless mass suffering the likes of recent generations have mostly never seen or actually considered possible anymore.

      how scary AI is,

Given that AI allows spreading propaganda tricking us into this mass-suicidal behavior more effectively, there is another link between this and the crisis of nature and humanity. It would be quite possible to regulate AI though, as at this point creating models is a very expensive endeavor that’s easily noticed.
