I hate to quote Joe Rogan cause he’s a tool but he summarized it well. A professional female martial artist can beat most men. A professional male martial artist can beat all women.

Sure man whatever makes you feel better. I mean I’ve been tapped out by girls plenty of times in BJJ I don’t have a problem with it, but ask any woman that does martial arts and they’ll tell you how annoying it is to spar with men because of how much stronger they are, like a lot of techniques just don’t work. At the end of the day that is why women’s sports are important.

The statistic I’ve read is that the top 90% of men are stronger than the bottom 90% of women. The inverse of that is that only the bottom 10% of men are weaker than the top 10% of women.

Obviously this is a matter of strength only, and isn’t a direct measure of skills, but in most sports does have an impact on skill. I feel like martial arts is a sport where strength is such a significant factor that weight classes are so strictly measured in such small increments.

Beyond that, I can’t speak in regards to what effect being cis/trans, or other hormonal situations, have on competition.

Yeah weight classes help for women (since it counteracts the fact that men are generally just bigger), but even pound for pound, looking at weightlifting records on Wikipedia men are about 25% stronger. For comparison that is a bigger strength difference than the difference between weightlifting weight classes. Obviously MMA is much more than a strength competition but that would be really hard to overcome. Also, men are quicker with hand and foot speed.

A woman trained in mma fighting a man that isn’t… I bet the woman will win lol. But is that a fair comparison do you think?

I don’t really know shit, i am not claiming anything. I am generally all for trans rights, but on this specific subject i have always just minded my own business because i don’t know shit…

But yeah i guess the way i generally think about it is that untrained, a man will likely develop stronger muscles than women. A trained woman could beat an untrained man, but a trained man would 9 out of 10 times beat a trained woman.

Let me stress, this is just how i think it is, i have no idea of it is true. But if it is true, then i don’t think your comparison is fair.

Wasn’t there a poll where a majority of random men asserted that they could beat one of the Williams sisters at tennis?

Thats ridiculous lol. I don’t know shit about tennis either, but i bet gender dont mean a lot in tennis. Maybe armwidth plays a little role?
