I refuse to buy cheap bread or jam. For me it’s hovis thick sliced wholemeal and Mackies jam only.

I tend to avoid brands. Exception is tea.

I am a huge tea addict. And preferably Yorkshire tea. But I have never found a tollerable non brand tea.

Where as most brands I often prefer non branded stuff.

Ketchup is the biggest. I hate how sweet the branded stuff is a prefer the vinegar taste on cheap stuff.

I tend not to stick to a brand, normally just whoever seems to have a half decent product.
Mostly it seems to be the extra special/taste the difference/No.1 branded stuff the supermarkets do.

(Which often comes off the same production lines with minor differences)

We’ve started buying Robinson’s squash, as I was finding the own brand squash to taste really weird. Even though it’s a bit more expensive, the taste just seems more natural and, weirdly, has a smoother texture. Own brand (both Tesco & Sainsbury’s) seems to make my mouth feel weird.

Also, De Cecco pasta. I thought pasta was just pasta, but damn I was wrong.
