    Wow! a toxie remake in this the year of our Elon 2025. And with peter fucking dinklage like I don’t even know how to feel about this one

    What? There is such a movie already. From '80s or something. It was classical trash(genre name). Fun but… Wait, they start to make remakes of trash movies?! Oh well…

      Troma was part of a second wave of purveyors of B-movie schlock back in the 1970s and 80s. They were harkening back to the older B-movies of the 1950s (Rocketship XM, The Amazing Colossal Man, Plan 9 from Outer Space, the stuff you would see on old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000). This was all before the current try-hard dark ages of B-movies (The Room, Sharknado, Neil Breen movies, etc), and this may be another entry in that canon.

      I’m holding out hope that they do something interesting with it. Peter Dinklage tends to make very good choices, and that’s a great sign.

      Also, I think it was Roger Ebert who once argued “Why remake good movies? They were fine as they were. Remake bad ones and try to make them better.”
