The best option for a defensive firearms is a 5.56x45mm AR-15, and a reputable 9x19mm handgun.

Defensive firearms should have a WML, long guns a sling, and handguns require a Kydex or solid plastic holster that fully covers the trigger.

If you are requesting information or suggestions on a product your post must include what your intended use for the product is, and your budget. Especially for requests for input on a first gun.

Promotions, shills, journalists, and surveys

Linking to products, retailers, promotional advertisements, organizations, etc. will not be allowed if you are in anyway affiliated. If you would like to promote your non-profit or other organization, you must message the mods before posting. This includes journalists seeking to interview users. Remain Civil
