In the past, when there has been a dedicated community for a series (!dungeonmeshi@ani.social, !nokotan@ani.social, !dandadan@ani.social), I have prevented the bot from making discussion threads in !anime@ani.social, instead directing everybody over to that community for discussion threads. The motivation was to try to direct the relatively larger user base for the anime community to help the smaller communities grow.
Seeing how you were able to keep discussions going in !dragonball@ani.social despite me not blocking the bot from making posts provided a valuable data point that the posts in the anime community weren’t stifling the discussion happening elsewhere.
