Nearly four years ago Trudeau broke federal ethics laws by pressuring a former justice minister to intervene in the prosecution of a Montreal-based engineering firm.
While under oath, when asked if there was pressure, Wilson-Raybould stated no. CORRECTION: (I was not recalling this correctly. It was in an interview afterward and not under oath. My apologies)
I, over the course of many months, had a sustained level of political pressure on me to interfere with a prosecution — a situation that I found to be untenable.
Like all good politicians, it sounds like Trudeau outsourced the pressure to his bagmen:
The prime minister never directed me to interfere in the prosecution.
But
political pressure that was placed upon me to interfere with a prosecution, which is something that is entirely inappropriate.
So, sure did Trudeau get in her face and threaten her? No. Did his people? Yes.
I think not. Is it possible Wernick was just a lousy employee? Yes it is. The bottom line is Wilson Raybould had an axe to grind. Many crappy employees lash out. It happens.

You got a link on that?
Yeah, because that seems the opposite of her testimony to the House of Commons justice committee.
There’s more here. I guess if the Cons are going to put us through this clownshow again, we need to get read in on what we know: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/gerry-butts-testifies-commons-committee-updates-1.5044709
I do not. It wasn’t during testimony or questioning. it was during an interview afterward here https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/jody-wilson-raybould-interview-transcript-1.5086036

When asked about Michael Wernick:

But
So, sure did Trudeau get in her face and threaten her? No. Did his people? Yes.
Is Trudeau ultimately responsible for that? Yes.
