It seems a recent update to glibc with version 2.41 release at the end of January, has been causing all sorts of problems for Linux gamers that have pulled in the update (mostly on rolling-release distributions).
It is the standard C library used on GNU/Linux systems. Basically, it is very important. I’ve also heard that the code is a rats nest. I wish standard distros would move to musl libc.
Guide the rest of us bumbling fools that don’t even know what glibc does, just blindly install whatever library the article or forum says

I’ve been using desktop Linux for 6 years and am only vaguly aware of it.
