Ehhhh? I’ve never read the books either, but I find the series silly and a little dull. Of the main cast, Rosamund Pike is decent in it and her character is probably the most interesting. I suspect there are some other good actors, but they’re trapped behind characters that just aren’t compelling. The series would be better without the male lead, who is about as interesting as watching paint dry. Honestly, I suspect the source material also isn’t nearly as good as the book readers claim.

I’ll probably keep watching it, but my bar is pretty low for fantasy shows. I really would forget about it entirely if it disappeared.
