Yep. We all learned years ago. Anything that needs an always on network to play an offline game is bs because sooner or later that network is not available.
PSN was down for almost a full month during the PS3 era. Imagine the impact if it would happen again.
Homes would be cleaner, romances would blossom, and the value of Frito-Lay would nosedive?
The HORROR!
I doubt PSN being down will be enough to stop the slobs from continuing to act like a bunch of lazy fat fucks. Let’s not get too crazy.
Edit: To clarify those who can’t interpolate, I’m referring to that specific subset of people, not saying all PS players are those slobs
xbox would make some money
I am still fucking furious about Games for Windows Live.
Any company that will insist on an always on game is the same kind of company to cut corners on their IT staff.
“If a service needs to be online to play, it will eventually be offline at peak times”.
It’s also bad for other reasons, but yeah this too
I only purchased Spider-Man 2 on PC only after they removed mandatory PSN sign-in requirement. It is stupid and dumb and I don’t need another account to keep track of.
Be careful when purchasing Sony games. There’s no guarantee a future update wouldn’t bring it back when nobody’s looking.
Good thing Gran Turismo 7 has nothing except a stupid car rhythm game to enjoy offline…
they already knew how it was given game for windows live and other launchers like the rockstar launcher. GFWL is an example of when you integrate it into a game, abandon it, and not everyone goes back to fix it.
