Though it can be hard to do so, I try to remind myself that a lot of these people simply lack the intellectual self defense or cultural opportunities to not be duped by targeted propaganda. The school system and many poor parents failed to instill critical thinking for many people. Unfortunately we all suffer for those failings, but I try to temper my anger.
The ones who had every opportunity to learn better, but actively chose to be what they are, those ones just suck straight up.
While many voted for him because of that, and are awful people because of it, some didn’t have the critical thinking skills to realize that fox is lying to them when they say those allegations aren’t real. They were suckered into a cult not terribly different from a religious one, such as Scientology or Mormonism.
Their actions have a global impact, unlike most cults, so we curse them instead of pity them, but they were gullible fools all the same, the only difference is the scale of suffering and power their cult leader wields.
We don’t have to accept willful ignorance. Everyone has all this data at their fingertips and they CHOOSE not to use it. They don’t get a pass, fuck them.

They voted for someone who brags about raping and lying. Empathy isn’t there for them

AOC represents one House district in one part of New York City. Very few ever have voted for her outside of that district.
