The entire purpose of HR is to serve and protect the interests of the company. Sometimes that means smoothing out disputes between employees in order to keep productivity high and disruptions to a minimum.

Don’t believe for a second that they’ll ever side with an employee when it’s employee vs company.

“We’ve got your back.”

“And your front.”

“And all the stuff in between.”

“What we’re trying to say is: we own you.”

Reminder: If you have been wronged by an employer or a companies employee the first call you make is to a lawyer. Not HR!
