Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG. Now you can take control of the action and be at the center of your own adventure in the wizarding world.
This game is pretty good. Basically, it’s set hundreds of years before Harry Potter, but it feels like a similar world. If you like HP but want something fresh, it’s a good pick since it’s absolutely it’s own game (different lore, familiar world).
I’m playing it with my kids, and we have separate characters. It’s getting a little old at this point (I’m almost 30 hours in), but there are still curveballs even this late into the game.
Definitely check it out if you’re a HP fan. Some downsides though:
without quiddich, the broom is kinda boring; I only use it to unlock fast travel destinations
somewhat unstable on my system (Linux), and often crashes if I play >2 hours; might be an issue w/ Wayland or KDE 6, not sure
combat gets pretty repetitive, but my character is about to be OP so clearing out repetitive enemies should become pretty fast

All in all, it’s fun and well balanced IMO.
