If the billionaires were not concerned by the potential threat to their existence posed by democracy, they would not feel so motivated to destroy it. Democratic government is among the most powerful tools that can be wielded by the working class against the capitalists.

As long as we have a society that’s dominated by capitalism and capitalists, there is no such thing as a democratic representative government.
OP is not wrong, but both are important.
