Yeah, I haven’t heard of this game before now, and I regularly visit gaming websites. Sounds like poor marketing.

Because it’s not released? It was shown at conferences and that’s basically it. It also has one of the most forgettable names and it tried to do multimedia storytelling.

These big ass studios need to calm the fuck down with their expectations. Every game can’t be a billion dollar hit and we’re all too fucking poor and/or exasperated to buy every game that releases for $50+. You’re still competing with other games that are either better, have an established foothold in the market, or just cheaper.

I remember seeing the trailer and thinking it looked pretty interesting, at least in the environments. I thought, maybe it’ll go on sale, be added to HumbleBundle, or be added as a free game somewhere and I might try it. I can’t imagine very many people seeing it, and thinking “I can’t wait for this game!”. Aside from the interesting setting and the obvious ‘big celebrity’ drop, the trailer gave almost nothing else to desire.

The shareholders demand a return on their investment, so they demand that every game be no less than a billion dollar hit. This is where infinite growth shareholder economics gets us in the end. It is toxic to any art medium.

I never even heard of this game. Where have they been advertising? The trailer looked freaking awesome. Then the gameplay trailer looked like a bad impression of a 2000s game. What where they thinking? The bar is so much higher than this now. This looks like a bargain bin game I’d pay no more than $20 for new.
