Summary

Therapists report increased anxiety among clients, particularly millennial women, LGBTQ individuals, and reproductive rights advocates, ahead of Donald Trump’s second term.

Many feel unsafe due to his policies, unpredictability, and rhetoric.

Concerns include anti-trans legislation, threats to gay marriage, and restricted reproductive rights.

Experts note that Trump’s media dominance amplifies stress, while burnout from past activism leaves some feeling powerless.

Therapists recommend limiting news consumption, seeking community support, and focusing on areas of personal control as ways to cope with these heightened political anxieties.

what annoys me is the maga types who will be like oh the soyboys, karens, and simps are all out of shape just because trump is in office. We don’t fall about with your guys. Yeah our guys who don’t look to negotiate with keeping the government running or want concessions for disaster funding for states heavily made up of their supporters.
