I’m not talking about how Obama II was a lame duck presidency, I’m talking about how Obama himself seemed to shift right in many regards. He has reason to be jaded with the Republicans, sure, but he also seemed to have little patience for the asks of the left, too. I remember being pretty surprised when Obama was asked if he was going to legalize gay marriage or some other pro-lgbt policy and he just flat out said “no”.
