It feels weird to congratulate a supermassive corporation for upholding the bare minimum of human decency, but this is the world we live in

This seems like a distraction from Tim’s Cook latest donation to Trump.

Trump will make some statement about taxing corporations 80% if they still have DEI programs, then Apple will get rid of it.

Every major Tech CEO made their way to The Manger to bestow gifts upon their Cheeto Colored Jesus. They are playing the role of Medieval Lords kissing the ring of their King. What does it matter if one of the Lord’s decides to run his Fiefdom differently than others, treating his slaves better than other lords?

The mask of Capitalism being compatible with democracy and benefitting all its participants is falling off fast. The most threatening thing you can do right now is imagining a world without capitalism and talking about it. The consequence of doing otherwise is kneeling before the king and succumbing to capitalism’s natural next stage: fascism.

Fight this shit. Don’t ever give in, don’t ever give up. Survive, live, and voice your dissent, if only to spite these fuckers. Don’t be satisfied with these Lords throwing scraps your way. Don’t stop fighting until the cancer is gone. Not in remission. Gone.

Personally I dont get why, considering Apples CEO donated to Trump and their software collects an insane amount of personal data it doesn’t seem like a stretch to say that Apple would share that data with the US Gov.

As a corporation, they want to avoid making enemies. Trump is one possible enemy, but people and governments who oppose discrimination are another.

Yeah but the thing is if their software didn’t collect any personal information than they wouldn’t need to hand it over

The only reason people use apple is because of the privacy aspect vs google so this would be a major misstep from them.

I think I saw that this was more of a recommendation to the shareholders? Idk how all that works to be honest.
