The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said the ongoing ceasefire and prisoner negotiations exchange in Doha under Qatari and Egyptian mediators has faced a setback.

Hamas cited new conditions proposed by “Israel” related to their withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, which has been an utmost priority for Hamas since the start of the aggression, as the reason for the delay.

“Israeli” also introduced new demands regarding the provisions of the ceasefire, captives, and the return of displaced Gazans to their homes.

Israel is not a serious negotiating partner. They’re always modifying and modifying their conditions to push Hamas to reject it. If they accidentally get Hamas to agree to anything they’ll quickly modify their demands further to get a rejection.

Why doesn’t the article tell us exactly what those demands are? Last time the sticking point was that Israel would resume bombing in 2 weeks and continue occupying parts of Gaza.

It’s a common trick of the media industrial complex. If you had all the facts you would have the tools to think for yourself.
