">It ended up on the front page of my lemmy instance, so I feel invited to read & comment.

This is the only part people forget before giving others shit on Lemmy and reddit. I didn’t ask for Dingo Epilepsy news. So when I comment it’s because I was slightly interested in what your platform had to offer…"

    This ^^ isn’t a complaint.

      “I didn’t ask for it”

Buddy, that’s how link aggregators work. If you don’t like it, then only look at subscribed communities, or block ones you don’t like. Posts aren’t made specifically for you.

Being “slightly interested” doesn’t give you a pass to make shitty, half assed comments. And by the down votes that’s what people seem to think your comments are.

If it makes you any happier, I have spent a considerable amount of time reading through this games subreddit, out of the loop subs, and some game trailers and it has piqued my interest and I’ll be taking a closer look at playing it.

So if anything has come from my “shitty comments” it’s that this game has earned my interest.

I’m okay with being downvoted. There’s always another account to be made, there’s always a person who gets uppity, there’s always another topic that people get pissed off about. And I don’t really think any of my comments have been shitty. Maybe half assed. But not shitty.
