By going in person, a source familiar with the matter told CNN, Giuliani and his lawyer Robert Costello believed they could explain face-to-face why Trump needed to assist his former attorney with his ballooning legal bills.

That sounds like the subtext of “how paying Giuliani’s bills was ultimately in Trump’s best interest”.
Or good way to disappear. Telling Trump you’re going filp in person sounds like a bad idea.
I don’t think Trump has the guts to disappear anyone. He might make vague statements and hope his cult fills in the blanks and acts, but he distanced himself from his own coup while it was still in progress.
Now if Rudy threatens to flip on the Russians, that could be a different story. If the Russians feel like they can afford to do anything to popular American figures, that is.
