Thread OP, kinda like it’s easier to do the math when trying to remember your age or the year something happened in reference to one another. “I remember I was 12 when I got braces”, so they know the year was 2012 when they got braces… …which is easier than having to calculate: I was born in 1993 so, 2000 - 1993 = 7 and, 12 - 7 = 5 2000 + 5 = 2005 is when they got braces.
