I would love to use PostmarketOS as my daily driver but my Pinephone CE isn’t really giving me the battery life I need to make it happen. I am looking at what phones I can get my hands on in Canada that would be better suited. So far the OnePlus 6T seems to be my best option. I can’t get the Shift6mq or the Poco F1 shipped here. Any suggestions if battery life is my main need ? I take my phone off the charger at 11am and don’t get home until close to midnight with no way to charge while at work.

If you like a headphone jack, and the 6 (no T) is also available in your region, I would go with it instead. Battery life should be fine, unless you leave battery hogging apps running all the time. My 6 definitely lasts from 7 a.m. (when I disconnect it) until the next morning when I forget to plug it back in - and that’s with a Matrix account running in the background in Chats/chatty.

Just a heads up, here in the states I haven’t been able to use a OP6 as an actual phone- without VoLTE working on t-mobile yet, all incoming calls go straight to voicemail:

Might want to look into what the situation is with your carrier, or if there’s a workaround for you. Think as soon as this is fixed, it could actually work as a daily phone for me (aside from the missing camera)

Not much? It’s courriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) who charge exorbitant fees, but most sellers on Ali ship via regular post. Canada Post charges a small fee, like 5$ for brokerage, plus regular HST. That would turn a 25$ item to around $34. A lot less than the Bezos Fun Train markup. But generally speaking items around 20$ are exempt anyway.
