US Muslim leaders who supported Republican Donald Trump to protest against the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza and attacks on Lebanon have been deeply disappointed by his cabinet picks, they tell Reuters.

“Trump won because of us and we’re not happy with his Secretary of State pick and others,” says Rabiul Chowdhury, a Philadelphia investor who chaired the Abandon Harris campaign in Pennsylvania and co-founded Muslims for Trump. Muslim support for Trump helped him win Michigan and may have factored into other swing state wins, strategists believe.

Concentration camps might be a bit hyperbolic

It is not. Calling them “death camps” would be hyperbolic because Trump hasn’t started talking about a “final solution” (yet), but “concentration camp” is very much a factually-accurate synonym for the sorts of mass detention facilities necessary to implement deportations at the scale Trump has been proposing.

They are already scouting for sites for the “immigrant detention centers”.

Suppose they achieve their objective. All that money being made? No way that system doesn’t want to swallow even more people, and not “just” immigrants.

You are absolutely correct, but I was trying to avoid being inflammatory and giving an easy strawman when explaining why Trump’s concentration camps are within the realm of possibility.
