Only because it’s never been done before.

Except these few times. I’m sure that list isn’t exhaustive.

Do we even have the cork for the bottle anymore? Does this one instance of intentional introduction equal the horrible offense you make it out to be? Weeds grow without outside intervention.

Bees are dying everywhere. Beekeeper spend most of their time protecting them from invasive species. Corn is grown in other countries. Apples, oranges, grown all over the world. Species come and go. Currently we are over-engineering marijuana to where is is only going to be owned by Monsanto.

      Let the weed grow.

Cannabis is anon-native invasive plant in most of the world.

Also, anyone who grows outside would have their sinsemilla at risk.

It’s fucking stupid dude, that’s why it’s not done. It’s not even done with native species lmfao:

We know how bad invasive species are, and most cities already deal with a bunch, knotweed for example.

could you elaborate what you mean here?

There is no organizations “guerrilla planting” native plants that would actually be beneficial to the ecosystem, and buddy is asking why we aren’t doing it with invasive cannabis.

Maybe ask why we aren’t doing it with the right species of plants? Instead of only wanting to be able to smoke shitty ditch weed.

I don’t want to smoke shitty ditch weed? But I have guerrilla planted native species. Specifically a flower mix that native bees go nuts for, here in Australia.

And ruin farmers fields? Natural parks?

Invasive species fucking suck, there’s a million reasons to not do this, yet all you can think is yay free garbage weed?

            Fuck off dude.

I don’t think the weed is going to be that great without all the attention that commercial weed gets. Grow media, nutrients, training, pruning, dealing with pests, etc. Not to mention, wild plants are going to get pollinated and end up seedy and not very strong.

your going to grow a bunch of male pants, inadvertently pollinate female plants, and fuck up other people’s crops, theres a reason clones are so popular

We need a screwed-up ecosystem to get the strains we’re needing. Female plants only. Cloning and the like.

For what? One toke instead of two? No seeds? This wine-connoisseur mentality that has taken over feeds into the commercialization of what was once the most egalitarian of highs.

Let’s just hand the reins to the government and laboratories and give up on the idea of a counterculture.

At least you can still go out and find mushrooms in cowshit.

I didn’t know what the fuck your taking about, back in the day when it was illegal everywhere, and counterculture was the only way to get it, all of the old heads knew that you take care of your crops, because your taking care of everybody’s crops, pollen can travel miles in the right conditions, you don’t want to go and fuck up others stuff cause you can’t take care of your own shit.

have you ever seen wild weed? ever tried to smoke it? you get very little, you get no consistency in strains cause everything’s mixing so you can forget about indicas and sativas, only hybrid from now on. like you really not doing anybody any favors, instead of you want to spend a bunch of money just grow the weed legit and give it out? or donate it to advocacy groups, or anything else besides reckless wasteful behaviour.

Here are some reasons I can think of:

    1. This would be an expensive project if it was large scale
    2. This would likely be illegal and thus any large operation would carry high risk of problems with the law
    3. A very small portion of the seeds would survive without proper care

      1. With a hardy species the expense would be much lower than the costs you’re likely thinking.

      2. The whole point is, can you imagine if they wanted to make kudzu illegal? It’d be fun to watch them try.

      3. A hardy species my dude. We are researching only for highs. Let’s get going on a milder level of THC perhaps, but ridiculous hardiness.
