Temo didn’t figure his vote for President Donald Trump would affect them personally. That was before the enforcement of Mr. Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigrants.

Alejandra ultimately decided to “self-deport” to Mexico, rather than turn herself in to be detained and then deported. After 20 years in the United States, she no longer has family or friends in the country, so she chose Merida, a city in the Yucatan where a small community of deported military spouses might help her.
Pretty pathetic that a community of deported military spouses exists there. So much for “supporting the troops”.
I’d live in Merida. Its a lovely little city and nice people.
I’m glad, hope my comment didn’t come across as disparaging it. Just sad that a spousal expat community there is even a necessity.
And beaauuuuutiful beaches, omg.

Temo didn’t figure his vote for President Donald Trump would affect them personally.
Boo fucking hoo.
This is an article from 2018 that is very likely to repeat next year
In this thread… People who think this is a current article, and aren’t asking why Biden is splitting up families.
Is this really something you’d approve of Biden doing?
The article is not current, but now it’s not the first time people voted for Trump. 2018 wasn’t Biden’s term.
Oh I get that. That’s not my point.
You think Biden was president in 2018? I bet you also wonder why Obama didn’t do more about 9/11. See, you people having a vote is why we can’t have a good country.
I see you failed critical reading.
They think this was done under Biden.
Their objection is lacking.
The post title and 3 top level comments all day 2018. But some people still struggling.
It was edited 2 hours after it got posted so maybe title got changed after the comments.
Oh that’s fair. I thought titles couldn’t be edited
Oh no…
… anyway
This article is from 2018.
Who was president then?
Just wait. I’m sure there will be similar articles in 2025 you’ll be able to post.
I really hope every average Joe that voted for him gets exactly what they asked for.

Point taken.
I know others have already pointed out that the article was from when Trump was president, but it’s always good to remember (as folks should have done prior to November 05) that there are almost always degrees of difference.
Afterward, she regularly checked in with U.S. Immigration and Customs officials, which typically went after higher-priority targets like people with criminal records. Temo didn’t figure his vote for President Donald Trump would affect them personally. That was before the enforcement of Mr. Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigrants.
This couldn’t have been Trump, he doesn’t take office until January. Why is the media pretending to care about these stories now?
This article is from 2018, halfway through Trump’s first term in office.
Temo didn’t figure his vote for President Donald Trump would affect them personally. That was before the enforcement of Mr. Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy toward illegal immigrants.
As others have pointed out, the article was from 2018. I wonder how Temo voted this time.

Someone who separated or retired from the Marine Corps. If you’re not putting the uniform on at least once a month anymore then you’re not a Marine anymore. You are a Former Marine and you have an entire community. Yelling at civilians for not getting your inside motivational slogan is peak boot.
