Phew…
Lots to improve on. Thoughts on the Onana penalty? I think we got lucky there
I’d say it was a pen, we got lucky
I dont think so. They jump into each other. But who knows with the quality of pl refs
I think we got lucky to not concede the penalty. That’s a foul any day if outside of the box so it should’ve been a penalty too.
i’d say it should be a pen, but based on how these things are called, it’s not a pen.
It looked pretty bad on a replay. I think the only reason it didn’t get given is cause goalkeepers can get away with more sometimes
one positive I can say is it’s a better start of the season than the last time.
It wasn’t pretty but our games against Wolves usually aren’t. Good to get this one out of the way
Literally said in the thread a few hours ago I’d take a cagey 1-0 win, didn’t mean I wanted it!
Main positive for me (aside from Onana’s excellent performance) is that we managed to grind out a win while playing utter shite, something that we haven’t done very often over the last few years
Main negative for me is that we play utter shite after a decent transfer window with new joiners coming in relatively early (compared to last windows) and facing an opposition which should be in shambles (new manager 4 days ago, no relevant transfer activity). When the experts in the Swedish studio beforehand talked about how dull and uninspiring this Wolves squad looked, I just knew they would run all over United…
3 points, good from onana, but a lot to be desired defensively
Our attack wasn’t very good either, we really struggled to create good opportunities
I was only able to watch pieces as I was at work. But it appeared we were over dribbling and trying too hard to get the perfect shot?
Yes, pretty much. But we were also pretty slow in attacking transitions (which should be our strength), giving them plenty time to block out space
I think Sancho played well too when he came on. I really hope he does well this season.
When the narrative is that Wolves is chaotic, they had no (relevant) transfer activity this summer, and their manager was appointed four days ago… you just know that they’re going to go out and want it so much more than Man United.
Why does it keep happening with this club? Why is it so common to see them go out on a pitch against a lesser opponent and just… not seem to want it?
Well it’s a better start than last season, was expecting more. Really don’t like Rashford up top, just doesn’t suit him, hopefully Rasmus will be available soon, as I think until we get him in the team, it’s not going to be to dissimilar to last season.
This worries me though because 1. we can’t expect Højlund to play 90 minutes every game and 2. we don’t even know what level he’ll be at. For all we know, he could be Weghorst but Danish
That starting midfield definitely needs time together. Not on the same wave length yet.
Up there with one of the worst performances I have seen. We were so so lucky to come away with anything here. We need to wake up fast, any decent team would have had a field day today
Need to look better for Tottenham
Don’t worry we have our own problems 😅
Gonna be a long fucking season
Looked like we were tired after the first half. Lol
