Just wanted to thank everyone for their rather raw sharing of feelings yesterday. I realized late last night what my biggest fear was: that something so obvious to me wasn’t obvious to a majority of people. It was rather isolating and sobering. upon reflection, ya’ll sharing your shock or grief or whatever helped a LOT. So thank you.
I still feel raw and upset tbh, like a horrible heavy weight sitting in my lower abdomen.
I don’t know how to get away from all the terrible news to come over the next 4 years. But I think I might start by actually following through and deleting the other place, and then just focusing purely on my own life and this place here lol
You always have a space to commiserate and find company here, this is a bastion.
You can only look after your own kingdom. ♥
Just take one day at a time and the chance to focus on other things.

He spent his last few weeks glued to me. Both lovely and horrible.
We rent, so don’t have pets. This is Cara:
She was a sweet old girl belonging to dad (and Mum before she passed). This photo is my kids saying goodbye to her - it was her last visit before she had to go.I don’t really miss her like she’s shown here, but boy do I miss her when she was young! I could take her on a 10km run and she was so fast that she made me faster trying to keep pace. Jack Russells will run forever if you let them.

I walked Ted to Lort Smith for some vaccinations and bum fur trimming. He was a total champ. 🐈⬛ Never whinged or meowed, liked looking around when he was in his walker. Of course he tried to nip the doc and nurse. He loved seeing all the other animals in the hospital waiting room.
He is also overweight so he is on a diet of less food. Here he is home again with Bill looking over shoulder.
