If someone is actually hungry or needing to feed children, there are substantially better options to steal, not to mention the social support options the police should be talking about. The random assortment of crap here looks more like a klepto’s haul than something taken out of necessity.
Ok, so here is my apparently unpopular opinion: Stealing is bad, and trying to justify it is not ok and dangerous.
