It’s funny how the onlookers in Everett True are always so happy that he’s beating a stranger. Like you know it’s ok because everyone approves. Reminds me of the Stan Kelly cartoons from the Onion.
It also reminds me of “and then everyone clapped”
They’re the audience surrogate for sure
I think Everett wouldn’t like to sit in a modern audience. Hooting and hollering is the default now.
