    The two months were only temporary, the Roman calendar had 12 months before the Julian Calendar. The Julian Calendar’s two temporary months was just to unfuck the calendar, as the months had become out-of-sync with the actual seasons. July was renamed after Caesar’s death (originally Quintilis) and August renamed after Augustus took power (originally Sextilis)

    January and February are the added months, but they were added hundreds of years before Caesar was born. The numbers were always borked, lmao
