It’s fascinating how libertarians and conservative’s watershed gun rights moment was Ruby Ridge and Waco. The former involving a white supremacist and the latter involving sex cultists. I’m not saying what the FBI and ATF did was justifiable, but the right NEVER talk about the MOVE bombings or Hampton’s assassination even though they happened first. And Hampton’s organization, the Black Panthers, was literally why modern gun control exists - supported by the NRA and Reagan.
Right wing zealots are treated with white kid gloves until they reach their target with a full arsenal of bombs and guns, and only then will an arrest be attempted. Feed a poor child and talk to other races as a black communist, and you get the entire police force sic’d on you.
