Which I will happily stand by. Imagine being that salty that someone didn’t engage with you in the comments of a meme post. Bullet dodged, I say.

You claimed that Lefties are wanting to discuss wealth redistribution with Liberals, but that Liberals refuse. That was a lie because:

The top comment was a thread of Liberals engaging in rational discussion about wealth distrubution.

Your response was to ignore them, call their comments “bad faith” and and say you don’t owe them engagement.

So what played out was a Lefty refusing to discuss wealth distribution with Liberals.

Further to that, Lefty mods then removed that discussion, because they really, really hate being proven to be hypocrites.

My peep, What don’t you understand about meme communities and memes? Just because I reposted one meme, doesn’t mean I am down to drop everything I’m doing and argue with ‘debate me right now’ libs for hours. Not to mention that if you had two functioning braincells, you would have understood that the meme itself is speaking in general political terms, not in the direct and immediate.

Like holy shit, how can you not fail at basic comprehension like this and then have the gall to call people liars on top of that?

Jesus Christ, the backpedalling is so pathetic.

It’s like you’re trying as hard as you can to be the NPC from the meme.

First you call the discussion bad faith, then when it’s shown not to be you actually just “didn’t feel like engaging”, and " not those liberals". It’s all just pivoting.

Tbf wealth distribution doesn’t tend to come up in liberal circles, it isn’t really a liberal policy in the traditional sense, and has mostly entered the liberal sphere of consciousness as of late because liberals and progressives are forced to share a single political party/coalition in most electoral eco-systems.

Not to mention how there’s a lot of different philosophies on how to go about it even among strident proponents of redistribution.

For example, I believe in a tax bracket system which adjusts the actual bracket amounts year to year based on household percentile income, and where the actual amounts taxed relate to the share of the wealth controlled by those brackets, with lower brackets being taxed at share, and the highest bracket being taxed three times their share of the wealth.

Not only does it provide a dynamic system of taxation that naturally adjusts to year to year economic conditions, but it also places an upper limit on how much the ultra wealthy can control before it starts biting them, and in the process, begins incentivizing them to sabotage each other to keep their overall rates as low as possible. The rich would be eating each other for us.

Now to some that is an incredibly radical idea, while to others it’s the furthest thing from radical since it doesn’t involve brutally murdering factory owners in front of their families.

    Lefty here.

Liberals are right-wing, of course they don’t want to redistribute the ill gotten gains of Bezos and Musk.

I’ll be happy to argue why it’s necessary if there are any liberals here who want to insist that billionaires should be allowed to buy the government.
