I’ve been able to download steam mods before with SteamCMD, but Factorio’s mods aren’t on steam, they’re on the official website.

To download mods from the official website, you either have to log in with a steam account that owns the game, or create an account and link a steam account that way. (You can also download them in-game, but that requires a steam account owning the game as well.)

Does anyone know of a way to download any of them?

This. The devs have no issue with piracy and would rather you pirate their game than buy it off the grey market for cheap, and their game comes DRM free anyway.

I just bought it the other day and went in blind with a friend. My god is it an insane game.

My friend isn’t even an engineer and he was talking about refactoring.

I’ll make an engineer out of him yet, you’ll see.

I too bought the game only after like 30h of playtime but it’s honestly worth it. I’ve seldom seen software of such high quality.

I suggest you buy the game of course, it is absolutely great and worth the money. But if you want the mods without buying it, you can get them from GitHub as someone here mentioned. If you still can’t find the mod, you can dm me and I can get it for you :)

If it’s available, you can go to the mod’s source and download it from there.
